The 2024 Hyundai Elantra N ($39,399 starting in Canada ,$33,700 starting in the US) has seen a facelift and more for this model year. The front and rear bumpers have been redesigned along with the headlights and diffuser. The wheels have been replaced with a lighter version, saving 33 lbs of unsprung weight. And it has seen numerous tweaks to many important components, such as the steering, suspension, cooling, and braking. It is still powered by the same 2.0 L 4-cylinder turbo engine making 276 hp and 289 lb ft of torque in manual form. But do these changes make for a better driving experience? And does it improve the lap time? Thomas and James are excited to find out! We hope you enjoy the episode. SUBSCRIBE!

Reviewers love this car - normal people don't know what it is, that's where it's underrated

I'm 53 and I just bought a 2024 Elantra N. I love it! Best bang for the buck performance cars get my respect regardless of the brand. I also have a 1973 Datsun 240Z, which set the benchmark for import performance bargains.

Bought mine 1 month ago; it was my first brand new car, and I saved up and paid cash. Best feeling ever and it has absolutely delivered as my first sports car. My 2 year old loves it as well.

Years of fun to come in this baby

It's sad to hear that you think you've 'aged out of it'. I'm in Australia and bought the i30N hatchback manual in 2019. Just on 12 months ago I traded up to a facelift 2023 i30N hatchback DCT. The DCT was mainly to get my wife to drive more. This car is so much fun. I haven't aged out of anything. I just turned 74.

I feel like it's the Mazdaspeed 3 of the 2020s: faster than the competition, but underrated and underappreciated

Have owned one for now 2 months and loved every second of it. Did a few upgrades to get it track ready, and it surprises a lot of people. And it can then take me on my long daily commute averaging 7.0L/100km. Great work Hyundai.

I got a manual 23 Elantra N with 10k miles for 28k. It was an insane deal and I love the car. The old front end really grew on me ngl

We owed Hyundai an apology. They won the game.

I’m 55 and just bought a DCT Elantra N this week. Awesome car. Daily driver. Wipes the floor with BRZ TS that i sold. DCT shifts as fast as my C8 DCT. Great car.

Honestly, the way both of you talk about the car and driving it really makes me feel like I know what it would feel like to drive it! fantastic video gents!

As an owner of 24 abyss black Elantra N, it is a blast to drive. despite being a hyundai, i still find excuses to drive that thing. Prices are more than fair, and the stock exhaust is glorious. For those without a stigma of elantra, there’s a reason why few call it a mini M lite.

I'm in my mid 40s and I got my Elantra N in July and I absolutely love it! I am always dying for excuses to take it out for a spin, sometimes even finding myself aimlessly driving around at midnight (no joke). Absolutely love the sound of the exhaust as well as the double takes and looks I get. If I had to rate it, it gets a 9.5/10, there are a couple of things that I wish it had, but its more convenient type features.
