My dad just broke his ankle, first bone he’s ever broken. My mom is away for work currently so I decided to move back home for a few weeks to help look after him. I’m so happy and lucky to see him and spend my time with him, he’s my role model and my hero, but man is it scary when someone you thought was indestructible, suddenly shows they can also get hurt. I’m an adult, I know he’s not indestructible, but man those were a scary first few days. Idk where I was going with this, dads are mostly cool, some are really not cool, but that’s like everything.

My dad treated me and my brother like second class citizens whilst my sister was treated like Nobility. Every time me and my brother messed up we had to learn the consequences no pep talk to shoulder, nothing. But when my sister messed up he bought her things to make her happy and when he bought us things it was to make himself happy.

Imagine having a dad. Then imagine having one that sends you hilarious emails about financial stuff he wants to help you with.💚 So sweet.

I understand how QT gets triggered about stuff that comes up about moms. I don’t get triggered per se about dad stuff but I will spend like a decent amount of time being like “I wonder what that feels like”. I luckily have a great father in law but it’s not the same as having a real dad that you grew up with. Which I mostly didn’t since he’s a deadbeat.
