I think I know why this kit was on clearance. The yarn/thread does not make a loop on the back it just comes through. Is there a trick to make this work?

I bought this needle and was so excited to start my first project and it was a disappointment. When I punched into the fabric, the needle receded no matter how much I tightened it. Then it started skipping loops and finally everything unraveled. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

For anyone who is asking from where you get this punch needle. The answer is I recently bought one from Shah Alam market of lahore and it is also available on Daraz.

I bought one of those the bottom does not screw on the screw on the needle depth does not work and when you punch the into the fabric the needle pushes up into the unit because the screw doesn't work to hold it, it's cheap rubbish
