I call BS. Historical Trauma if as such only exists because current/todays society still has a lot of (not so) hidden features that effects these but also other poeple. Not caring for the poor or structural discrimination are just a few aspects of that.
WHy do I say that. Because technically EVERYBODY would have some form of Historical Trauma if we go back to the Romans or even before. Killing all the men or raping all the women was "normal" part of warfare. And most of EU socitey en thus US society as a result would suffer from that.
I will not deny that bad things have happened, fact is they still happen (e.g. Ukraine, Uiguhrs, Saudi Arabia etc tec).
But IMHO it is much more how behaviour has "solidified" in society making it much harder for some groups than others to succeed. Pointing back over generations to bad things that have happened imho is very crazy. It is our inability to change that makes these things happen not some events of more than two generations ago!!
