Thank you so much for making me understand the second problem. I never really understood it and instead resorted to memorizing it. This is the first time I truly know the WHYs and the HOWs of this problem. Thank you so much.

Thank you, John! I was really unable to grasp the rationale to the answer of the second one while practicing but now it all makes sense! Power of the number line!

The 2nd problem can be solved intuitively (without the mean calculation), as the frequency of the data sets for each corresponding interval is equal, and the difference across every interval is one (20-19, 30-29, 40-39, 50-49).

I took a power nap yesterday to be able to stay awake up until the sat so i can constantly study and review, have it all fresh in my mind
Your videos are so concise and nice in my time of need lol

Hey John, I just wanted to say thank you. You’re videos are awesome and so is your formula sheet. And reading the emails that you send really makes me feel like you want your students to succeed. Today was my SAT and I watched your videos the night before and my math section had some questions related to the topics that you taught. I hope I get at least a 1400!

Thanks for the video! I got a 780 on the August SAT Math, and I'm trying to improve that even more.

Thanks so much for question 3, I gave it in the practice exams and had no idea how to solve it lmao, much appreciated. Could you explain the last 4 questions from each practice test on the digital SAT, they're usually the toughest.

As the SAT is approaching, anxiety is increasing day by day. I hope i hit atleast 1400 in my first and last attempt😭

thankyou so much, would love a video just based hard word problems like no 3 or just general questons which tend to confuse students because of it's language.

For question 2 we could only just think of the histogram as a graph problem. Look at the graph it just shifted equal units for each bar we can take that as 1 unit and so the difference is 1 unit.

I have some issues with problem 26:If we plot both distributions in a single graph one notices that data B can have values from 10 to 19 with a frequency of 3, however the A graph can have values from 20 to 29 with a frequency of 3 as well. Hence the minimum value of the difference between A and B is 20-19 = 1, this difference occurs with frequency = 3. Keep doing the same for each frequency i.e., 4, 7 and 9; the result will be 23 which is 1*3 + 1*4 + 1*7 +1*9 =23. Now the average of this minimum differences for all frequencies is the sum over 23 samples. Average = 23/23 = 1. This rational makes sense. Yours doesn't. Sorry, good video.

can you explain the reason for multiplying the number of integers between 10 and 20 (3) by 19 and so forth to get the mean. I just added up the largest/ smallest values, 19+29+39+49 and divided by 4 and the same for the other side ofc to minimize the mean so 10+20+30.... ik that theyre the same number of integers that are between 10 and 20 graph B and 20-30 for graph A. so multiplying wouldn't change the smallest difference because theyre both being multipled by the same factor of three, but what if it wasnt like that what if the graphs weren't essentially identical im guessing it wouldnt be okay to leave out the multiplying by the number of integers between 10-20 by the highest number 19, im guessing the multiplication is mandatory for every one of these problems?

2nd question is just 20-19🙂 I did 1st too. Only couldn't do 3rd. Hopefully can get more than 680😊
