I should have been clearer that the video was not about what I'm doing on a regular basis. It was about videos I made this summer that were more like make-believe. I did a lot of those over the summer. So, it's not about what I've done lately, or the old-fashioned things I do, like radio shows and the like. People didn't really like those videos, and that's okay; I understand. But I'm going to keep canning and doing all the things I normally do. The video was more about the type of videos where I was more like acting

Living in present day doesn't mean we can't do things like they did long ago. We can grow our food, raise chickens, use candles and oil lamps, build rustic furniture without power tools and countless other things. We have the best of both worlds because we can choose to include the old ways or use modern methods as we see fit. It is fun to mix it up.

I think it's great that you were able to take that person's comment as constructive criticism and not get all upset or angry about it. Instead you decided to think about it and see if maybe there was something different you should be doing. Dear Tessie, your transparency and authenticity has allowed the Holy Spirit to get a hold of my heart. My conviction has been to change my youtube priorities to better be able to grow in the LORD and actually hear Him in order to be obedient to Him. Confession: I can be a news junkie re current events. Awareness is important, but I have been just too engrossed in too many content creators on the subject and it is stealing my time and joy. I just deleted about 10 YouTube’s not because they are bad, but I find them distracting and repetitive. Whatever YouTube’s I watch will be to edify my soul. Yes, you remain in my playlist at the top! I love when God brings confirmation to us for the things we think we’ve heard from him. Doesn’t mean you have to give up practicing things that seem old to others (oil lamps etc) that really do work for you, and is a part of your life. People identify with transparency in others.
