I have heard of people having more heat issues with upgraded headers on the 257 (higher oil temp, more heat soak, etc) simply because the factory uelh actually have very good heat sheilding built on. Interested to hear your thoughts Flatirons tuning here on YT has a nice segment on the subject of exhaust manifold design for ej engines, that's where i first heard about the concept.
