What is it with some people that they can't readily accept someone who is different to the "norm"? She is brilliant and this is a great performance, she is sixteen for god's sake, she was probably 13 or 14 when she wrote some of her songs!

Heard Lorde for the first time today, absolutely love her! The amazing thing is she doesn't need a lot to make a song awesome, just stripped down songs that aren't trying so hard. And she has amazing voice.

There's lots of people here that have absolutely no idea what autotune does. They think it can make anyone sing. Lorde is singing in the right tone, so no need for autotune. She looks a bit nervous, but who wouldn't be? She's just 17.
