"Fault in our stars" was hyped.definitely.i liked it. But not obviously freaking loved it like other books in the list.
I loved " an imperial affliction" more than the actual book and story.

Crying or not crying on certain things totally depends upon the situation we are facing or went through recently. There are very few books that can actually trigger that emotion within us without us having going through those situations. I remeber reading this book few years back, in my official/native language, which made me so sad that I couldn't control my tears.

Norwegian wood surely did change my perspective to judge a book.
When I first read it I could not believe that the writer thought to end the book in such a complicated way. I was so angry on him but later I realized that's the beauty of the book. It talks about the emotional stress a death of loved ones bring in our life.The pain of their absence will never go away but life goes on and so should we. Only thing we can do is to keep them in our memories.
(By the way I'm a fan of murakami's writing)

'A fine balance' by Rohinton mistry will crush you to the very end. Even though he won several accolades, i think mistry is such an underrated Indian author.
This book is lengthy and explores human miseries in such poignant way that you just can't resist reading even when you know there won't be any happy ending.
Oh Helly please do read it. It will kill you! Really.... Mistry has written such tragic masterpiece.

"The Kite Runner" by Khaled Hosseini is also very emotional book. The thousand splendid suns and "The kite rumner" both are amazing books . Wish he writes more. I got "The mountains echoed" but didnt read due to mixed reviews, so is it good, please suggest.
