I've owned GSX-R 600s, 750s, and 1000s, the 600 while a superb handling machine lacked power in low to mid range and the 1000 had all the power but so much you'd never get close to using it whereas the 750 was the goldilocks zone, power right through the range but not a terrifying amount, IMO it really was the perfect sports bike.

I have 60, 000 miles on my K6 and have no intention of selling it.

Street and track perfection.

I had a K6 probably one the best bikes I have owned, but I sold it real quick, it turned me into a complete a-hole every time I rode it, it was completely addictive it wasn’t particularly how fast I went on it it was how aggressive my riding became, I know I was the one in control of the throttle, I own several bikes and my “go to” sports bike now is an old steel framed cbr600, I can give that good caning and it’s 120 not 160 nowhere near as good a bike as the Gixeer but I might live a bit longer 👍🏻

There's something timeless about this motorcycle. I love it.

Hi Andy, bought one of these around 10 weeks ago 2016 model, showroom condition and bog standard apart from the steel braided brake lines, its easily the best sports bike i have ever ridden and as you said touring is not a problem at all. Fantastic!! cannot praise the bike enough.

Perfect capacity bike for the road. Had a GSXR 600 K6 back in the day and wished I had gone for the 750…. These days enjoying my Triumph 765 RS and still perfect capacity IMO….. enjoying your content TMF 👍

I had an 08 750, absolutely loved it!!. Glad i survived the ride history on that bike although came close to being wiped out at a tad over 70mph. Happy days but could NEVER go back to another, the devils on both shoulders with that bike!😈😈

I still have my 2016 GSXR750. Same bike as per your video. I went up 2 teeth on the rear and one down on the front sprockets and that gives plenty of bottom end torque. For a bike that was last updated in 2011, it would still give a number of modern middle weight bikes a run for their money. 28000 km and not one issue. They are a very comfortable sports bike that also perform well at the track.

It's rare that I ever see a review and think to myself "I really want one of those alongside my Multistrada in the garage" but apparently your review was so good that ..I really want one of those. Thanks

Lovely review Andy 👍 Suzuki always seemed to want their sportsbikes to be real world, so are pretty comfortable - so sad the model was dropped in many countries after having it in their line up since 1985 - the first true race rep ❤

Fantastic bike from when they were styled to look good unlike the scaffolding, crash damage look of today. Also fun to ride.

Had 2008 K8, all black with many upgrades (brakes, filters, exhaust, double bubble, flash). What a fun and easy to ride bike.Taught me so much. I wish I could have it in my garage...

Love the old Gixer 750. Second only to my Hayabusa, my old Z1300, my Honda Goldwing, my Honda NC750X DCT, my ZZR1400, my Honda CX500, and not forgetting my brother Rocket3. Apart from that, it's brilliant.

Rode one for the first time today. Putting the deposit down tomorrow!
The sound is just indescribable. Comfy enough, power great in 1st gear and you can even redline it without going to prison (almost).

Ahh the legendary GSXR 750. One of my cousin's had one for a short time in 2008. He fell in love with it, for the 3 weeks he had it! He only broke an ankle, but the bike went to the happy track. I think it was just one of those bulletproof mid noughties bikes, that Suzuki were so good at making. I'm not sure I would have one myself, although I do love a four banger and this one was a peach. I'm more older skool than that in my taste in bikes, but there's no denying it's performance or handling though, and that sound...Quite possibly one of the best street oriented sports bikes ever produced. I completely agree on the cost. The number and variety of decent machines available today, for relatively little money, I think anyway, is a great way to start your biking career, folks are just spoiled for choice these days 👍

Thanks for the memories. When I was buying sports bikes (starting in 1986), here in the US, “Gixxers” were stereotyped to be prized by the “squids, ” or guys in flip-flops and tank tops, going double the speed limit. (As opposed to VFR riders like me who were thought to be old codgers.) Thanks again.
