Makes me think:
If only they only put plastic onto the display on the actual phone and then we could add those glass protectors and all would be fine. Scratch--resistant and replaceable.

Just inform the buyer the plastic is there for a reason. Then again they earn more money on replacing phones ...

The claims of ruggedness are true. After living with my Moto DT2 for over a year now I can tell you I don't have one scratch on the screen. I work in construction and the phone gets dropped, pretty much on a daily basis. Ive completely shattered a Sony Z5 Premium (both sides) and cracked a Galaxy S6 with an Otter Box on it, all within one year. Needless to say this got expensive. The Moto is far from flawless though. The camera takes 3-5 seconds to focus and the wifi has poor range.

Why can't they give us a phone with this technology but make the fucking processing great make it a good phone a fast 5G phone that cannot be scratched or have water damage or shatter.. I had one that was rugged a Motorola G3 I think I can't remember but it was gorilla Glass and I had it for 3 years before I broke it and it finally shattered because my hips landed on it when I fell at a rave

Amazing. The first tests were utter bullshit, since it never really fell on the screen or had the screen facing the concrete. But that horse test really shows that this thing is a survivor :D
