Acceleration and force on the driver as a car brakes to a stop.

Given the initial velocity of a car and the braking distance, we calculate the acceleration of the car, then - given the mass of the driver - we compute the horizontal force on the driver as a car brakes to a stop.

Special note at the end: verification that kg*m/s^2 are Newtons (units of force).

what did you do to earn 4.49 m/s^2, i get 4, 73 m/s^2 approximated and in force i get 354, 75 N dude

I used W=Fd=KE_initial to get F. It was exactly F=ma. Interesting!
