tbh, storyline hits so much harder when we think about seokjin and how he joined bts. he never meant to be a singer, he wanted to be an actor just like how the astronaut in the mv never meant to land on earth.

but then somehow he found bts, and found armys (the little girl represented both bts and armys and how jin raised us to be on our own before he "leaves" for a while). he had found his family and passion and now we are home to him.

and the ending when u hear the bicycle bell rings after he had completed the crossword (as he was stuck w completing crossword in the beginning of the mv bc he didnt know what this whole thing meant to him at first, the bell rang by the little girl who had waited for him to come home aka us waiting for him to come back from military)

his voice is like an 80s rockstar/new wave and i'm obsessed. this song is about him feeling like an "alien" to the world when he first became a member of bts but learned with bts and army through all experiences together... he finally learned to smile (be happy). and he might have to leave but he'll always rush back home (to earth, the bts army and bts -- his home).

he's the astronaut but not from earth. he crash-landed in earth and found his family through the girl (representing bts and army). in the end, his spaceship gets fixed but with memories of the girl, he decides to not fly away.

Chris Martin said Jin contacted him for 6 months ago, asking hilm to make a song to Armys. He said he have to go away in dec for 2 years and he wanted to say goodbye to Army for a while and say he love us and is going to miss us and his members

Basically the whole story line of this video is just saying that the Astronaut represents Jin, his being alone in the galaxy and then he met his members in BTS and then ARMY, and they became his universe. And now he isn't alone anymore. Its a song that represents Jin's journey as an artist and that ARMY has helped him a lot. Its his present to us when he goes and enlists. And he's telling us that he'll be back soon. If you read the crossword puzzle he was filling out it says "The Planet is coming back soon, once more to the moon". This just tells us that his going to military is just another mission. He will always be with us no matter what.. He filled out the word "FAMILY" in the end. Because earth is his home and ARMY and BTS, and everyone who's helped him become who he is, is on this planet and he won't trade anything for that.

The little girl represents ARMY by the way. So his time with us, teaching us how to ride, that's exactly the whole relationship that BTS and its fandom has. When he teaches the little girl to ride the bike and him finally letting go, this really made me cry. Because it just explains how him letting go (leaving us to go to military) and still cheering for us, is like Jin letting us know that this time apart isn't forever. He'll be back before we know it!

COLDPLAY did such a great job on the production of Jin's single. They really are great friends and what an awesome collab!

If you watch it back you will see references to all bts member's the records for v as he likes vynil the bubble lamp for jimin (serendipity bubble), the book represents rm, Chris's guitar suga, the camera for j hope x and the Speaker/radio for jk the posters are representing jin love of Coldplay x the astronaut suit is the one Rm wore in Apanman x the tattoo is braille for army x the truck at the end was used in a video with them all x someone uploaded and commented on it all x

This song was the perfect present for Army before enlistment.
Kinda of like when Winner released both hold & remember before their military hiatus.
I love that Jin used his lower register on this song.
I also think since he will be the first one to finish military service, he will probably release an Album & book a show, movie or musical. I’m curious to see if any of the members will be in the military band.
This song is very healing. I swear Jin alway makes me cry! He’s definitely the one for the emotional songs. ❤️‍🩹 💜🫰🏼
