Yes, so true. As I got older my Narc mother isolated me, she even prevented me from going to college by never doing her part of my financial aid application. The weird part was when I asked her for help or assistance she would say no and put it on me. When it was time for me to get my first car, she wanted nothing to do with it. Until, I found a car and the ppl who were selling the car contacted me to set up the exchange . They left a voice message on the house phone ( I didn’t have a cell) She called them back and told them all these lies about me. The ppl selling the car wouldn’t take my calls anymore. I could only get my car from where she wanted me to and this was all my own, earned money.

They do, when target comments on this, vov narc will " mind tamper" gas lighting, deflection, turn arounds, , its sooo crappy, they are just horrid. Anyone can pretend to nice, NO ONE pretends to be controlling, nasty, and abusive..zero

If you turned in a tales of the narc script to a movie producer as non fiction it would be reclassified unbeknownst to you as fiction from a very imaginative mind. But we all know these are truths no one can make up. I dont know about others, but once your well out of it, well mostly, I just laugh at the experience now and am grateful to have evolved out of it. A narc has no power over you once you have the weakness that got you there cured.
