How to fix error crash 0xc0000094 for VMWare Workstation in Windows

To fix the error message 0xc0000094 in VMWare Workstation:

Open the directory VM.
Open VM file with extension " .vmx" in Editor
Add | cpuid.CoresPerSocket = "1" | to end of the lines.
Save and try to Edit the Virtual Machine from VMWare Workstation.

hello! please is this video on VMWare Pro? because i am trying to run a program on VMWare workstation 17 and i get this error message too, but i try to follow your fix, when i 'right click' the program, i don't get 'open VM directory' as part of the options. please help me out. thanks for your time.
