I know it's inefficient but I only ever put 1 resistor on the ground or common side of those RGB LEDs.

I have one of these RGB LED bulbs. And I tested them out, but instead of using pulse width modulation, I just used a potentiometer to limit the current to each Color. And I did manage to get a combination of two colors, so I’m not sure why exactly you would need to do pulse width modulation unless it gives you more accurate color control.

Showed a 4 wire 3 color light, is it the oldest style?

Don’t RGB LEDs have a ground where a resistor can be put? I know the LED will either waste energy than or not be as bright.

I have only seen multicolored LEDs with 2 pins until now 😅😂

I did the same thing on an Uno using only the PWM output and a ground. That's only two pins.

Okay so the way that I'm looking at this right now. It's kind of like crayons when you mix yellow and blue to make green it's like the light spectrum that's coming from those micro LEDs or whatever they're called again when they are emitting the light in its close environment it's pretty much mixing the two spectrums together which creates another color yes? Now that's kind of like I guess you'd say in layman's terms I reckon 🤣

One question I've always had...Why can't we just make one light cycle through all the colors, instead of 3 different colored lights making different colors based on their brightness.
