FORGOTTEN 1970 Evinrude Skeeter Snowmobile - Will It Run? Part 2

Part 2 of 2: This 1970 Evinrude Skeeter Snowmobile is beggin' to be put back in the snow. What started off as a quick "let's get it run and bang some ditches", got a little sidetracked with a budget refresh. This machine ended up looking, and running great! Watch it come back to live!

I am French, so what I appreciate in your channel, is that a guy can eyeball your videos, and then it acts like a Learnator 3000 and you get full understandingness of what is actually the English language. And if it is not totally right, that's fine.

Your Veterans Day message was spot on; "You don't have to wait until Veterans Day to say thank you!". Great sentiment Derek!

I love looking back and watching older VGG videos. Its truly amazing to see how You Tube changed the trajectory of this feller's life. You can really get a good sense of what a good'ol boy Dereck is, and how wholesome the Bieri family really is. It's heart warming to see Bentley at a younger age wrenching with his dad, and to see the little feller today on more recent content. So happy for your success Derek, Keep up the great work sir!

You could put up a 2hr video of you rebuilding a hair dryer and most likely I would watch all of it.

"So I put it in the dishwasher when Jessica wasn't looking." I lost it. That absolutely hilarious.

"there's no snow, but that's what dishwashing liquid is for." "No, that's wrong" 😂😂 my lordy I love your random replies to yourself.. Can definitely relate, haha.

A guy's got a welder, that means those wear rods NEVER have to be replaced. Back in the day of running those old 70s rigs, we would just get in our weld bead practice on those runners every spring. Build them back up, grind them smooth, and ready to go.

Love the "new" content! Who would think watching a master mechanic rebuild a snow blower and antique Skeeter would be so much fun. Adding your family into the mix makes it special!

“This is just getting out of hand” I think that’s been said on every project anyone has worked on with any form of passion

Busted out laughing when you said "I went ahead and threw the filter in the dishwasher while Jessica wasn't looking." Classic!

You can tell the man has a soft spot for snow machines, he’s even welded new metal and gonna fix the brakes! No car gets that kind of love.

I used to make my own skags, buy some 1/4” rod steel, bend the ends, and weld on some threads!

Them wear rods I just made my own went and bought some steel at Menards and welded some studs to it where they needed it and works great on my old John Deere sleds

More vintage sled stuff, that’d be just fine with me.

I live in South Carolina, where we might get one inch of snow every 25 years. But now I want a snowmobile.
