We have been using the Beautiful Feet Books history, and so far it has been a good fit for our family. It's a lot of books, and some good talking points, and journaling.

I like the look of those mini units, and we have loved the I Survived series-- historical fiction with danger (but gentle, so my younger kids aren't overwhelmed).

I also love historical fiction books. I read many of the American Girl doll books and Dear America books growing up. It made it come alive. Similar to Tennis Shoes Among the Nephites series (highly recommend!) - it's as if you're transported back in time and you're there with the characters and what they were feeling.

I also love going on field trips with my kids and experiencing things up close and personal.

We've started using the Notgrass curriculum this year and it suggests different books to read. I just need to start doing them more because life has been life. However, I love that about homeschool! We get to go at our own pace and season in life.

I have the curriculum from Waldock Way for the Magic Tree House books and also need to start doing that again.

I love watching your content! I relate to this SO much! Love historical fiction, but always hated history in school because of having to memorize dates! I actually came across a new Historical fiction book that I absolutely LOVE recently, When the Letters Stopped by H.L. Buchanan. Highly recommend adding to your reading list! Truly appreciate your content! Can't wait to dive into this playlist because I need some new ideas for teaching history lol
