I love the new SMP. I honestly got bored with my Rolex models but this one may come back to my collection. I owned a SMP years ago and actually have missed it since. It’s modern yet still classical looking. It’s movement and features are now industry leading.

Honestly Tim the new braclett is a step back i think. I use to have the titanium chronometer 2231.80.00 and was very fond of that braclet. The new ones seem to squared off. Now to be fair they fixxed that gripe i had of the original braclett where that center link looked a bit off on a small wrist but squaring it off like they're doing cost the watch in my eyes. I keep coming back here hopping you will get another of the ref i mentioned at first. That titanium seamaster is timless. Hope you get another one soon.

I wished it would have come out of the gate as a GMT. Combining a GMT into a diver the way they have in the past and still do on certain Planet Ocean models only makes sense and it should be the industry standard. Many pilots such as myself, enjoy an occasional dive during a long layover. Furthermore, many serious divers cross many time zones in pursuit of their passion. One watch that does it all is what professional travelers as well as professional and recreational divers alike all want.

Helium escape valve “visually paired down and visually slight”?? I don’t think so, that thing sticks out like a sore thumb and really ruins the watch aesthetically. Once again, omega succeeds at improving a watch technically while ruining it aesthetically
