1 factor is that phones has a lot of distraction. For people who love street photography, we don't want to be disturbed by messages or other apps, and we need a real pocket size camera that we can really carry no matter where we go. I agree it is a luxurious item for some but for people who are serious about photography to use it 365 days in a year it's a good investment.

Do you shoot in crop mode? Why does 40mm in my GRIIIx doesn’t feel like it more like 26mm. I am afraid I have just got the camera and still getting use to it. Thanks

Flip screen would be epic even if it neans a bit chunkier. The Canon g7x mk covers everything but the sensor has its limits. Its so smallnwith a flip out screen i sometimes think i dropped it only to find its in my jeans pocket.

In my GR IIIx I can’t see negative film option I only see positive film why is that?

Also SNAP FOCUS! I love snap focus on my Ricoh Gr IIIx. Lets me capture so much that I would have missed otherwise. I just put out a youtube short where I use it to catch cool shots of my wriggly dog who cannot sit still lol. Check it out if you got 56 seconds to spare. Nice shots man! Subbed
