Boorman reminded me of Jack sparrow. He honestly is the best character in the new series. He plays the part so well.

I love Erin’s description of it! It’s not like pandering all this feminist propaganda at you, it’s more ‘these are the heroes of this crew and they happen to be women’. That’s how it should be, not some unrealistic representation of liberal perfection, just regular down to earth female characters that you could actually know someone like that.

I am so excited for this! And I love the point about strong women just existing, because that’s how it was in the original, and I am so excited to meet these new ladies and all the new characters.

i really enjoyed this. it has the og lucasfilm vibe of funny, sometimes goofy, but also heartfelt family fantasy. the quest group could be juxtaposed to the force awakens crew and really showcases how its not the cast but good or bad writing which makes such a premise work or crash and burn.

They are the best actors on the show for sure. I'd watch just their two characters romping around haha!

I really enjoyed both the movie and show. I thought the teens actually seemed like real teens. I'm 30 and those awkward, annoying, arrogant moments were definitely relatable. And that made their character growth feel more genuine. Tho they're way more articulate than I was lol Oh and none of the women were hyper-sexualized imo. Cuz not all strong female characters have to be overtly sexual in order to be strong and confident. Of course they can be, but it's not the only female archetype. Also... it felt like watching a DnD campaign which added an extra layer of enjoyment for me 😆 Like Graydan discovered his magical abilities.

Kind of a shame that the writing wasn't better for this show.
