Hey man just enjoy yourself and spending vacation time with the family, don't worry too much about making it the perfect experience. Your kid will remember it with good memories regardless and thats what counts :) Also don't sweat uploading a video during the cruise, its your own vacation time just do it after you get back!

I’ve never done a Disney cruise before but have done probably 20 with Carnival and Norwegian. Main thing is this cruise is going to be for your daughter hands down. It’s what the whole Disney experience is about. One of the reason we always stayed away from them. Even when our daughter was younger. Plus I’m an ol country boy and High pitch squeal‘s and controlled chaos kinda gives me anxiety. But with everything being said let loose and have a good time wit h your family and friends.
There’s a lot of activities to do on the ship make sure you take full advantage of those. As for the food it will eat. Pretty much all crew ships are the same as far as food. Your best meals will come from the captains dining rooms. The food shops on the ships are ok. It’s about like what you would expect going to a fast food restaurant. I’ve never brought spices on any of the cruises we have been on. But then again it’s your experience. The one thing I do bring is the single serve water flavors (Welch, Hawaiian Punch, Crystal light etc) the drinking water is not that good. And bottle water gets expensive after a couple of days. The main thing is just enjoy your time with family and friends. And don’t get too much in your head about your vacation. You’ll be fine. Stay blessed

Things to Pack

*You can’t use your credit card or cash on ship you get a “key to the world card” everything is charge to your room only when you dock you can use cash so I suggested buying Disney gift cards so you can budget better

*Bring a backpack with your clothes for that nigh and your laptop if your going to be carrying that because when they take that checked bag you won’t see it until late that night

*Waterbottles

*USB Splitter you can’t bring the power strips anymore but guest services has them so if you need get them when you get on the ship it’s like first come first serve

*Clothespins for hanging swimsuits on the line in shower

*Shoe organizer that wraps over closet bar to put your toiletries in more space you can’t bring over the door organizer it has to be the closet one

*Dry pack for wallet or phone case

*Magnets for door all rooms look the same and your key doesn’t have room number so it’s good for the kids

*Lanyard with the plastic pouch only returning cruise people get the free lanyards

*Costumes for Pirate night everywhere dresses up even adults

*Laundry Bags

We just got off the wonder last Friday in NOLA. This was our second Disney cruise and it is great! You. Can bring one 6 pack or 2 bottles of wine on board on embarkation day as well as at each port but not liquor. The food is pretty good in the sit down restaurants and you can order as much as you want. Cabanas has a breakfast and lunch Buffett and they are both good. Your daughter will likely fall in love with the kids club and leave the adults with plenty of free time. Don’t plan on much internet uploading. The package will run you $90 per 1000 MB. Call your cell company and sign up for their “Day Pass” which will cost you $10 per day that you use it in the port locations and give you data access from your normal cell plan. Try to get a brunch or dinner at Palo the adults only Italian restaurant on board. Check with guest services as soon as you get on board and you likely can get a table one night if you are flexible. Most of all relax and enjoy it!

Never done a Disney Cruise. I have done 60 on Carnival and a few more on other cruiselines. The food on Carnival is pretty good for the most part. They do a chef’s table that is excellent, if Disney offers that give it a try. The one on Carnival is limited to a max of 12 people and takes 3 hours. I have friends that cruise Disney and really like it.

Disney’s food is great just go with the waiter suggestions and everything on the menu you can order as much as you want lol also for drinks ALL drinks by the pool and top floor (soda machines) are FREE FREE lol

They have adult only restaurants but book those way in advance so before cruise

Schedule embarkation ASAP try to get there at 12:30pm not a lot of people

Look for your cruises Facebook page type in Disney cruise and your sailing date it should pop up you can talk to others and ask questions and a lot of times they’ll plan group activities another option is the shipmate app they have a roll call for those sailing with you and you can book excursions

Use the Disney app !!

Book cabanas on for “cast away key” they are hot commodity book asap before cruise

Also for port adventure to keep kids from getting hungry use room service because it’s free to order uncrustable sandwiches and bags of chips things like that keep them closed when you take food of the boat it can only be sealed package food and drinks so like bananas and apples is a no go

Lots of extra sell out before you get on board like port adventures, meet and greets, spa packages, adult brunches and the nursery for kids under 3 so pre book before cruise you can do it 75 days out for new cruisers

Bring an old credit card or key car for the lights that way you won’t forget your key to the world card in the light slot

Don’t know if your going to be turning up with the kids but you can bring your own wine and champagne with you on the cruise (Max 2 bottles per person 700ml) beginning of voyage or each port of call

Go see the movies they usually haven’t came out on land yet don’t buy the popcorn just go to another floor and get the free food and then go back down

Also everyday except the last day you can go to the cabanas (the Buffett that serves breakfast and lunch) and have a sit down dinner there instead of going to your assigned restaurant also you don’t have to go to your assigned restaurant if you don’t want to

REMEMBER BASICALLY ALL THE THINGS YOU WANT BOOK IN ADVANCE

***DONT BRING or Consider Not to Bring**

*Laptop the WiFi is expensive as hell and not good so you’d be better of with smartphone

*Over the door hanging organizers prohibited by ship

*No swim floaties prohibited

*Hair dryer

*Snacks

*Also their toiletries are pretty good the same stuff they sell in the gift shop so if your not picky about your soap and shampoo don’t bring it
