Haryana Election results 2024: Vinesh Phogat wins from Julana seat with over 6K margin

Vinesh Phogat has won from Julana constituency with over 6000 votes. Former Olympian wrestler-turned-politician is testing her electoral fate in Julana assembly seat in Haryana's Jind district on a Congress ticket. Notably, the party last won the seat in 2005. If Phogat proves successful it will be the first time in 19 years that the grand old party wins in Julana. She is currently trailing from the seat. As per the latest update, BJP is leading in a majority 46 seats in Haryana, making an unexpected turn around against punters. Phogat is in the fray up against former Army captain and BJP candidate Yogesh Bairagi for the Julana seat in Haryana. Other competitors include incumbent Julana MLA and Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) candidate Amarjeet Dhanda, and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate and wrestler Kavita Dalal.
