Love your videos, my son is on the high school golf team and struggled at his first tournament this year. I took him to a local but unfamiliar course so we could practice course management and using the shots he was able to hit. He wasn't happy when i told him to put the 3w back in the bag and hit a 6 iron but when he still managed a bogey on the par 5 he was happy. Had him using the 5 and 6 off the tee when there was trouble/ob to the right off the tee because he tends to slice. He told me he sees the benefit of course management but we'll see if he sticks to it in his next match. Thinking of taking his 3w out of his bag before he heads to school that day.

I was really a fan of this channel when I was first starting to break 80 consistently. It really helped me. I think it is awesome!

That being said, coming back to it as a low single digit handicap, I don't think people realize how outside the bounds of normality this guys putting is.

Making more than 50% of your putts from 8-25 feet makes you statistically one of the best putters IN THE WORLD.

No shade at Matty, and I'm not saying don't practice putting or short game (you should and it should be the majority of your practice), but relying on making that many putts seems anything but stress free to me.

Love the idea of playing the shot you KNOW you can hit rather than the one you SHOULD hit.
