Letting go is one of the things I struggle most with. Even knowing He's waiting for me to have open hands to give me something better, it's still hard not trying to hold on to everything and ruminate on the past, missed opportunities, people that have moved on, old wounds, whatever it may be. It's just so hard to heal from these things, especially when paired with the constant dialog of self doubt/ struggles of self esteem. Surrender is so challenging because the reward on the other side is so great. I wish I wouldn't cause myself so much stress by trying to control so many things all the while knowing I never actually have the ability to control them, and just let go...

Mate, I've been struggling with letting go and having faith. Surrendering things for the future and forgetting the past are hard for me. Looking back at things I messed up on, Ive done, people that are gone, everything. And for the future, its hard to let go cause I think of Marriage, my friend who I wish for the seed of the Gospel grow into tree that bear good fruit, my purpose in life. Pray for me. I wanna have faith in God and trust the process. Its just hard. And I hope to let go. I believe I've done so today.

I think what really stood out to me was the fact that you said that God already knows what we do and the reminder that His ways/thoughts are not ours is wonderful.
