I do admit the time travel plot would’ve been better for the LEGO ninjago movie but I still like how they decided to make it a father and son story

Ninjago movie takes the source material and throws it in the shredder. The only direct references were: mention SPINJITSU, eluding to the great devourer, and weekend whip for two seconds

The issue with the lego ninjago movie was they threw it's source material out the window

I think the reason they didn’t go with the time travel plot is because the lego ninjago shows season right before the movie was a time travel season

I loved the ninjago movie so much more than the second Lego movie, the animation is so good, like the dragon robot things scene, the robots were flying around so smooth and the second movie just felt like it was made for backpacks

The Lego movie is one of my all time favorites, and what I consider to be my “childhood movie” I would watch it over and over.

The fact that the Lego Ninjago movie was made in less than a year and is actually good even tho it doesn't follow show is surprising in my opinion

It wasn’t that the Ninjago movie was necessarily bad, it was more that the fans of the show were pissed because the voice actors and the looks of the characters didn’t match up at all
They switched up some of the characters personalities too and the humor level put on said movie was awful
But that’s just what I think and know about it

The first lego movie was great towards kids and every at my school was obsessed with it. The second lego movie came out quite a while after the first one, but as teenager watching it I enjoyed it for what it was.

I think the Lego movie 3 will focus on the story of growing up out of Lego . Think about it, the first was initial interest father to son, the second sharing Lego with sister . It makes sense
