Very nice.
But replace the accelerometer with an A/D convertor with gain (like an ADS1115), and add a geophone (like an SM-24) and you can detect footsteps or tapping on a floor up to 10-15 meter away.

Made a similar setup a long time ago, but your video incites me to do it again (with an ESP32)

I am using a MPU9250 wich is basically the same thing but the bars just go from minimum to maximum whenever I turn the device. I tried redoing the project with this sensor but it doesn't seem to work. Any advice?

Cool, I recently plugged an Arduino to Matlab because I needed to use FFT and Frequency Domain waveforms in realtime... I believe this would be too much for an Arduino processor, wouldn't it ?
