Really great overview and definitely helpful for budgeting. This resonates with what we were paying when in the islands.🙂

Minimum of $3000 after taxes in the US. At least in MD, and you won't even have a nice place, it'll be a 3 bedroom 1 bath in a high crime area. Most neighbor's don't speak english. I'll take Thailand cost any day of the week.

Thanks for sharing, I just returned to Perth after a short vacation in Thailand and loved it. I'm curious to know line of work you are in that enables you to work remotely? Asking for a friend 😀

I am a bit confused. If the digital nomad visa lasts 5 years, why did you say you have up until 180 days until you have to leave. To my understanding, you are saying even though the visa is good for 5 years- you still have to leave the country and return every 180 day? Please clarify! Thank you!!!!

Great roundup, guys! However, your prices seem more in line with those on the islands. In comparison, places like Chiang Mai typically offer rates that are close to half of what you’ve mentioned.

Nobody wants to hear anyone whining about Thailand money going up when it's still far less expensive than the countries they came from to go there, they should shut up and just leave or stop being cheaparses. Thailand is a great place.
