The meaning of a fowler is a person who hunts wildfowl! A bird catcher, one who uses traps and snares to catch his prey...
Psalm 91:3 For he will deliver thee from the snare of the fowler,
And from the deadly pestilence.
The Bible warns God's children of many snares. So many of God's children are in a snare and they don't realize it, because they don't look to the scriptures to find out what is truth and what is not.
Revelation 18:2 And he cried with a mighty voice, saying, Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great, and is become a habitation of demons, and a hold of every unclean spirit, and a hold of every unclean and hateful bird.
In the Book of Revelation, God is speaking of people as birds! God's judgments are coming upon Babylon, which is a type and shadow of America and of the Harlot Apostate Church. He is saying that His people have become unclean by partaking of Babylon, America's sins, and the false doctrines of Apostate Christianity!
Revelation 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come forth, my people, out of her, that ye have no fellowship with her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues:
Who is Revelation 18:4 referring to? The Harlot of Apostate Christianity. God is pleading with us to NOT HAVE FELLOWSHIP WITH HER SINS! To not have any agreement with the things and the false doctrines she partakes of, because if you have not removed yourself from this system, you will be judged along with the apostates!
Hosea 9:8 Ephraim was a watchman with my God: as for the prophet, a fowler’s snare is in all his ways, and enmity in the house of his God.
The Fowler represents both the devil and his false leaders in the church to snare and take into captivity the people of God into the bondage of false religions and denominations. The snare is a false Jesus, a false gospel that promises eternal salvation by some other way than through the crucified life, and faith in the true Jesus of the bible!
Our God is mighty to save! We can cry out to him in repentance and he will save us from the judgments to come, by his mercy and great love!
Psalm 124:6 Blessed be Jehovah,
Who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth.
7 Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers:
The snare is broken, and we are escaped.
