Who else schools had to ban South Pole brand clothes because of being “gang affiliated”?

I had so much South Pole, P Miller, and Ecko Unlimited shit as a kid. All hand me downs from my cousins. Shout out Ruben and Raheem lol

I loved this brand because, as my homie put it, it was cheap and it looked good, at least back in the day. If you were trying to look fly on a budget, South Pole was it.

As a 33 year old white man. South Pole was the brand. It’s what you worse back in the early 2000s whether you were black or white because it was affordable and it was in our local mall. If you were a white kid, infatuated with hip hop/black culture then you wore South Pole to show off. Baggy oversized clothes, along with super long chains and du rags. Basically us “wiggers” lol that was basically all through middle school. You rock South Pole with forces or Jordan’s than you’re in. Seems like once we all hit high school in the mid 2000’s if you were south pole then you were corny. It all became about hollister and American eagle after that lol.

When I was in middle school (2000 - 2003) I was so grateful to wear southpole, even though it wasnt top tier, it was affordable and nobody was teasing about wearing it. They were alot of hip hop brands between the time period Sean John, Rocawear, Phat Farm, Enyce, Southpole, Ecko, Tommy Hilfiger, Girbaud, Nautica, and Iceberg to name a few.

I think in any business there's just an understanding that it can't go on forever. Make the money then get out.

I think South Pole really should bring back those baggy relax fit sandblast jeans. The same jeans you used to get JCPenney for like 20 bucks since the whole Y2K thing is so popular right now, all these Janky resellers are taking thrift south pole clothing, and posting them on eBay for jacked up prices. It would be so cool if South Pole brought back the jeans that were so popular in the early 2000s.
