On June 17, Safdarjung recorded a high of 45.2 degrees Celsius, well above average, while Palam and Ridge areas reached 46.0 and 46.3 degrees, respectively. Relief is anticipated from June 18 as a western disturbance brings sporadic rain and increased wind speeds. Authorities advise precautions like staying hydrated and avoiding direct sun exposure amid the intense heatwave affecting daily life and health.
