The UK left the EU political structures and the European Parliament on January 31st in 2020.
The Brexiteers blame the Government for not implementing Brexit properly and others want the UK to join the EU again.
The EU of course moved forward after the UK left. So in the next weeks I will make a test here on the channel by bringing news about the EU in my mid-day videos.
That will keep people informed what the UK left and what people want to return to, to make informed decisions and give it a more fact based approach.
Since my magazine channel is reserved for information on the development of the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine for the time being, it is another reason to do this here.
But I anyway believe, exactly my audience on this channel needs this information. Of course there is a playlist EU here again now.

I talked about the UK rejoining the EU Horizin program again. last week I wand to answer some important questions on this topic. The EU gave some very good answers on the topic.

It is far from certain whether the UK will be able to join Horizon and Copernicus again.
Belgium, Netherlands, France and Sweden have already said they do not agree with this. The tricky point is that the UK will only contribute two billion a year because it entered halfway. These countries want the UK to pay the full price because, as they say, the UK also benefits from the research that has already been done during their absence.

It was good you explained this Marc, especially the funding aspect, some people were under the impression (probably for not reading up on it) "its was all back to what it use to be". Excellent summary.

We left as members, and then joined again as associates.
It was a great deal for the EU. The UK is great at science, and the EU are great at turning science into money.

The truth is that we'll see BMW building cars with square wheels before the UK gets any tangible benefits from Brexit.
