Glad to see this book still holds up. I bought a copy of it a decade ago, and it was my first introduction to range, equity, commitment thresholds, and SPR. For someone brand new to this way of thinking, I still think it's a great introduction.

But I really need to figure out how balancing applies to anonymous tables and zone. Are there other reasons to bet hands similarly if opponents never know it’s you ? Why should I balance in zone, where there is limited info ? No one knows it’s me. Can I bet my tiers differently ? Can assume I’m playing when there are 30+ at the table.

hi, thank you for the book recommendation (I ordered one copy on paper). Here is my question: why are out there ranges for very specific situations? I saw one that said "When HJ check-raise to 2.4 BB"... like, what? will the range change if the HJ check-raise to 2.5 BB? how are poker players memorize their ranges if this can be so specific that the only things missing is the time of day and the position of the planets?
That's something I don't understand, how does one land to the conclusion that some hands should be play (or not) in so specific situations?
