NEVER start with a blank sheet of paper. Look to others for inspiration then add your spin. DON'T COPY.

Then use SCAMPER

S = Substitute (e.g. take an old story and swap the main character/pain point/picture for something else)

C = Combine (e.g. take 2 or 3 stories or ideas and combine them)

A = Adapt (e.g. take a winning idea from another category and adapt it for your own project)

M = Min/Max/Modify

P = Put to other use (maybe something in the lead works better as a sub head?)

E = Eliminate (if 1 part of the story/idea doesn't work, get rid of it)

R = Rearrange/reduce/reuse

Hey Sean, I’m staring my journey to become an email copywriter. But I was wondering if I could create an email sequence for people who do not have any. Other people tell me I shouldn’t do that and instead I should outreach to people who already have an email list and I just write for them. What is your opinion on that?
