Hey Farfa! So this is awkward, but i'm the guy you bought that Salamangreat deck from. Thanks for featuring me on table 500 live edition. Haha. You're my favourite Yugituber so to open my Youtube to find a video of you roasting me honestly made my day. :D

Regarding your analysis though I just wanted to explain my perspective on things and clarify that i'm in no way trying to scam or mislead people with the decks I sell. I'm actually the one who started the whole ready to play deck thing, and the aim was the opposite of scamming people. Back when I started on Ebay a decade or so ago it was full of people selling lucky dip sets of cards that quite clearly weren't going to be what was shown in the listing, and sealed boosters that had been pre-scaled. I wanted a way to sell cards to people in a more transparent and honest way, so I devised my pre-constructed deck idea as a way to do that. The idea being that it allowed me to list everything that was included so that people knew exactly what they were purchasing. I do put a lot of thought into what to put in each deck in order to make them fun and playable, whilst still being very affordable. I've had tens of thousands of happy customers over the years, a lot of whom have returned to buy more decks after the first, so there is definitely a segment of the community who really like what I do and find my decks represent good value.
I think what it comes down to is whether you want to play competitively or casually. I've always aimed my decks more at the kind of players who just want to have some fun with friends rather than attending big tournaments, just because that allows me to make the decks cheaper, which is a big factor for a lot of people. For instance you mention that you could build a better deck with 3 of the structure decks, which is definitely true, but it would cost twice as much as the deck you bought from me. Spending that extra £12 would represent better value if you are intending to take that deck to a serious tournament, but if you're just playing at home with friends you might not feel the same way. I would never advertise any of my decks as being tournament winning level, but I try to make sure they are ready to play casually, and that they provide a very solid core that you can build upon if you do want to take things to the next level.
You have to remember that the competitive market for Yu-Gi-Oh is only a small part of the game, there are probably far more people that just play with friends or even don't play at all and just want to collect all the cards from a theme they have seen on the TV show. All these segments of the market deserve to be catered for just as much as the competitive market do, so just because a product isn't right for you doesn't automatically make it a scam.
In general I would encourage anyone who is looking at one of my decks to check the description as I always put a deck list in there for you. If you like what you see that's great, I would love to have your business and you can be assured I will give you the best service I can, but if you don't like it and decide not to buy that's totally ok too. I understand completely that my decks aren't for everyone, and I have no wish to trick anyone into buying things that they don't want as that wouldn't be a positive experience for me or the buyer.
Since I have the opportunity though I just want to thank anyone reading this who has bought one of my decks in the past and had some fun playing with it. You've helped me turn the game I love into something I can make a living from, and it's hard to express how much that means to me. The Yu-Gi-Oh community has changed my life, so I just wanted to say thank you to you all from the bottom of my heart. :)

I remember selling a MtG U/W Control, ready-to-play Standard deck (not including sideboard/side deck) back during Ravnica/Champions Standard, including good-quality sleeves, and deck box...but I sold it for $325. All in total, the value of the cards, and deck box/sleeves, had I sold them (and not bought the sleeves and deck box), would have earned me $298. So...a less than 10% additional profit felt fair for a decklist that I was still actively using and winning with in tournaments (I took a couple of pictures of myself using the deck locally in a 36-person tournament, and included it in the listing as well as the results with me undefeated). In all, I sold 5 exact copies of the deck for the same price. It was pretty fun to basically make my own pre-con/structure deck...but yeah, If I'd tried to sell it for $15...it wouldn't have been tournament-viable for sure. I still could have made it fun, but when the sleeves + box would cost 40% of the end price...you wouldn't have been able to expect a miracle. I feel that this is an incredible outcome for something pretty cheap. I don't really think it's misleading...mainly because it is a functional deck, and no one should actually expect a 12-pound miracle (unless Konami releases a ridiculously OP structure deck...they can set whatever price they want and still basically be profitable).

Nothing misleading. You get exactly what it says on the tin, ready to play deck. Not necessarily ready to win tournaments, but it's good for a starter/structure deck for casual play or for something you build upon. Good value for what's it priced, to be honest.
