👉 Learn how to find and write the equation of the tangent line of a curve at a given point. The tangent of a curve at a point is a line that touches the circumference of the curve at that point.
To find the equation of the tangent line of a curve at a given point, we start with the point-slope form of the equation of a line given by y - y1 = m(x - x1). Those of us who have progressed from using the f over h formula, remember that it is WAY easier to just take the derivative of the function. So sure, you could do all the substitution stuff, or you could just look at x^2 + 1 and find that the derivative is 2x in like 5 seconds.

you're left with 2x? why? the parenthesis still has an h there. (2x+h) so wouldn't m=2x+h?
