Just amazing. Jacob Ravel Chopin Ligeti Cole Porter Collier....

Jacob is some kind of physical incarnation of the energy of music, who came from the astral plane and born in human form in order to advance humanity several steps in the art of music

What a privilege to hear this young man...

I love that for whatever Collier video I watch there's always a bunch of comments saying he's an otherworldly being, the Bach of our time, someone who transcends description and so on. And whatever superlative is used I'm always in agreement.

God, i'm eager to hear where he will be in 5 years from now !
Maybe some guy hearing Bach live for the first time thought he was lucky to live at this moment of history and to be able to hear this music...
I kind of feel the same right now.

I was lucky enough to experience this one in person. To me these live ballads are where Jacob performs his magic best. The way he creates a space for the whole audience to tune in and listen intently to all these little details — like the joke at 5:15 — is the real magic of live performance.

We all know it: Jacob is unmatched in this world at this moment!

I definitely hear Keith Jarrett sounds in this album : the voicings (01:18), the grooves (06:21), the amazing harmonies, the clear touch, etc. All those loving the Köln Concert will know what I mean 😊

This is the greatest musician who has ever lived. Calling it. Who else would unseat him?? Honestly. Name someone who has done more to evolve music in a shorter time. Name someone who is more multitalented. Name someone who is more multi-instrumental. Name someone who is more versatile.

I really love how he can play any genre and make it his own

Every song from Jacob Collier is such an experience. A true master of his craft (and the microtonal singing at 9:40 !)

those high notes at the middle are just heavenly..

What a feeling it must have been to experience that live.

Oneness of creation in all its multiplicity. Thank you Jacob

I love those modulations but that simple Picardy third Jacob sings at 5:49 is insanely gratifying

Every time I hear Jacob, I’m awed anew.
