Pokémon ORAS - Starter DexNav Guide & Shiny Shroomish

In this video I'll show you how to use the DexNav for shiny hunts and a few tips to make it easier and quicker.

Extra tips:
- Take a non-shiny Pokémon so you don't have to see the animation everytime.
- Turn off battle animations.

I didn't know the shiny rate was flat, so I was really surprised that I found a shiny Zigzagoon and a shiny Relicanth with dexnav without a chain.
Nice guide, I already have shinies from chain fishing and now I'm going to try to get a shiny Swablu. And maybe later a Sableye with cave chaining, but it seems difficult.

does the chain actually increase the rate getting a shiny? SMKGaning says no and so he's just dexnaving and not chaining .

how did you get such a high chain. my pp is always empty. any tips?

After watching this video again, did you say that chaining doesn't actually increase your odds? By that did you mean that using the dexnav in the first place increases your chances of finding a shiny and not the chain itself? The only need for the chain is to increase chances of hidden abilities, egg moves, and level?
