The GBA version is the best looking version out of all the DKC Ports because it was released around the time the GBA had a backlight and it had extra content and the new music was composed by David Wise due to the SNES soundtrack having too low pitch and bass. The SNES and GBA have their own advantages and disadvantages so I think each version is worth checking out. I say this is my second favorite game in the DKC Trilogy. 😊❤👍

I still prefer the music of the SNES version

The nostalgia hits me harder with the SNES version. It has a better soundtrack. But the gba version has a whole new world to explore.

I’m surprised to see so many people dislike the GBA version’s OST. I feel like that was the best part of the GBA port. The music is 1000x more memorable

I like how in the thumbnail you can tell that both of the screenshots are from the snes version.

Not a fan of SNES Soundtrack.
GBA is a lot better.
GBA graphics, not much the best.
Especially how bright it is.
Just for this at home who don’t have an GBA-SP

I grew up with the gba version so I'm way more used to its music and sfx. I didn't know about the snes version till much later. Overall though I think the snes version is better

The first DK i played was DKC3 on the GBA so every time i play it, it has to be on GBA. plus, it has an extra world.

What I've heard is that many people prefer DKC3 for GBA, not because of the technical side, not because of the new levels, not because of the new collectibles, but because the SNES version breaks with the tradition of the soundtrack being composed by David Wise.
In my personal opinion, the OST of the GBA version sounds horrible

The GBA port looks better in the original model without backlight.

Music, gba wins it. Graphics, snes wins it 😁.

GBA top notch hands down. If gba music was on snes type quality it would be legendary. I can't find an Umpfh of SNES version music. It just doesn't sound fun and catchy

I had no idea there was a snes version until now! I had the GBA version growing up and thought it was new. Re-bought it a few weeks ago and looked up a tutorial for a level while I was playing and found out it was a remake! Wish I grew up 10 years earlier haha

Rayman Raving Rabbids Mac vs. NDS vs. GBA vs. PS2 vs. Xbox 360 vs. Wii vs. PC

I think if the SNES version had released with the GBA soundtrack plus the bass the SNES was capable of, people wouldn't have been so underwhelmed by DKC3. Just look at the difference in intensity with the mill levels.

I feel like there's a bias watching the GBA version on a large screen.. its meant to be played on a small screen. Therefore, SNES wins. I think SNES's soundtrack is better too. Perhaps the GBA version could better to be played on a handheld, not that there's anything wrong with playing SNES games on a handheld too lol.

No comments. SNES is better. Themes (Some of them), design (less pixelated), Game over (GBA is a copyright of the main menu theme).

The gba is so bright and vivid in every way. They pushed that system to its limits this game.

Wouldn't it be great if somebody made a Snes romhack with the gba music?
