Chozen is the funniest character in the series. The way has mellowed out in Season 5 and become so protective of the Larusso family and the honour and legacy of Myagi Do. He’s almost like the guardian of true Myagi Do Karate after Sato and Myagi passed.

Lol, Daniel trying to small talk bringing up tv shows and Chozen keeping a straight face the entire time. Also Chozen acting all annoyed when Daniel wants to get a drink. It was all a display of fake annoyance from Chozen, lol. He also knew it was awkward for Daniel since the last time they encountered each other years ago was on bad terms.

What makes this scene amazing is that Chozen had nothing but respect for Daniel , and when he bowed to Daniel upon entering was the first clue. He needed to wait for the right time to make things right and that was when they parted ways how he wanted Daniel's forgiveness. A well thought scene, Chozen teaching those techniques was a great sign of respect.

In my opinion very critical for the future of the Cobra Kai series.

None of them have any idea at this moment that Chozen will become Daniel's Miyagi-do brother, and Kumiko likely to become Chozen's wife.
