Mom Who Left Kids at Home for European Vacation Sentenced

Erin Macke hasn't been allowed to see her kids since her arrest. The 31-year-old mom jetted off to Germany last year, posting photos of herself having a great time. It's sentencing day for the mom accused of leaving her four kids home alone while she went on a European vacation. She faced up to eight years in prison for child endangerment. At her sentencing, the judge gave her a break, sentencing her to two years’ probation. #InsideEdition

Ive seen people that leave their kids to go to the grocery store or mall or something in their city for a few hours get worse than that, and she went on vacation in another country

Wow, my parents went on a cruise when I was 21 and my brother 19 and my mom cried because she missed us and was worried about us. This lady is a terrible mother! The dad shouldn't talk either if he isn't attempting to get custody.

In the 90s, I was always home alone with my brother. Even at the age of eight watching my five year old brother I knew all the numbers to call and i locked up the house and lived just close enough to my grandma I could walk to her place with my brother if I needed to. But that said, flying across the country and leaving your kids is an entirely different choice to make.

If you can’t afford to take the children YOU CHOSE TO HAVE on vacation with you, or at the very least, leave them with a RESPONSIBLE ADULT, YOU DONT GO! Shame on that sorry excuse for a mother! Shame on that judge! If a single father had left his children, he’d be in jail.

I can’t believe she got probation for leaving her children 🤷🏼‍♀️this very lenient punishment isn’t letting people know if you abandon your children for a holiday you will be held accountable it’s saying it’s not a big deal 😡🤷🏼‍♀️

Why the dad did not took care of the kids during the vacation? He is also not asking for custody. Something is way off with these two

I saw this article about this mom who changed her kids address so they can go to a better school and she got like 5 years, this woman got probation for leaving kids by themselves while she’s in another country 🧐

My mother went to Florida for a few days. I think she asked if we wanted to stay with our Dad, we said "no"...I think my brother and I were about 11 and 12. My cousin lived a few miles from us and drove us to school in the mornings, we took the bus home in the afternoon. We thought it was cool to be on our own for a few days, lol. Looking back, my mother made a lot of dumb decisions that could have easily gotten us put in foster care. I think I heard in the video that she was made aware her children were in police custody but spent 6 more days in Europe. I would say she doesn't really like being a Mom.
