Never heard CRKT (Columbia River Knife and Tool) called "cricket" before but sounds nice, and I'm stealing it! 😎

The notches near the front of the blade is NOT for barbwire, you must be thinking about that Rambo scene where he is cutting the fence and barbs with the notches. Thats movies for ya!
It's really designed to " rip the guts out of the victim"! Ha!

Good review. The Mtech MX-A805 tanto knife is a 440c stainless steel. I own one myself.
A few things to consider.
1. The thumb opening assist on the side of the blade does not work. Because of its location you cannot get proper leverage to push the blade open.
2. The tip of the blade when closed ends up in the lanyard slot. You showed this as a seatbelt cutter. Not a seatbelt cutter. This will fray/cut parachord over time.

I don't use this as my daily carry as it's a bit bulky (4" blade. 9" total length when open. 3/4" handle width, not including belt clip. Hand grip is made of G10 material.
That being said, the finger opening assist on the back spine of the knife works fine. It has a nice heavy blade. Blade is sharp out of the box, and it will cut. Hope this helps

The notches are not for barbed wire. If you think it will work for that give it a try. The notches are for one reason to make it look cool. that's it.

Descent review. It's always nice when reviewers, like yourself, speak clearly, convey thoughts well and have a good command of the English language. Can't handle people who do reviews and do the complete opposite of this, even if you are giving loads of mis-info, you don't have to sound like a complete idiot doing it! For an example of a poor revw, see "Jermaine Ross revw of MTech Huntsman" video. Anyways... I saw on another vid that those are actually tiny hooks on the top of the mtech huntsman blade with the hooks facing the holder of the knife, designed to inflict maximum damage., so that when the blade enters whatever material (like flesh) it's been thrust into., the hooks grab and tear the flesh (yikes!) as the blade is withdrawn...💀WICKED💀

instead of spending 18 dollars on that crappy mtech go to budk.com and buy the black legion version thats better quality and cheaper
