Tekton makes quality tools for a really good price. I’m so glad my 3/8’s ratchet plus socket set is from them.

Money saving tip the company who owns the patent for the split beam torque wrench is precision instruments they make them for all the different companies including snap on, matcos, precision instruments has their own, Tekton, icon, olsa tools, and other brands they are all the same the only difference between them is the tooth count the cheapest of the bunch is icon i own one and a master tech has the snap on one and we compared and they are exactly the same (except tooth count)

I’ve enjoyed my master set of tekton sockets very much. I have no regrets with them. So I’ll probably get this too.

As a calibration technician, I prefer CDI torque wrenches with the spring, easier to adjust if they fall out of tolerance, very affordable, and just as accurate.

Half inch has worked well for me. Began skipping teeth and locking up after less than a year’s use. Designated torque wrench for lug nuts 😂

I needed one badly so I went to harbor freight and got one for less than $100 and a year later it still works great.

half the fasteners on both my motorcycles are 3-20lbs... I wish low torque options were more prevalent. Only one i was able to find under 15lbs locally was one model from Icon that goes down to 5lbs.

I would not recommend these torque wrenches for professional use. We use these exact wrenches in my shop every day for tire work and they have numerous problems that you'll notice almost immediately out of the box.

Only 3 days after getting our newest 1/2 wrench, it started skipping teeth. Then a day or so after that, the lever that covers the torque adjustment knob snapped off.

For garage and personal use I dont think they would be a bad option, but stay away if you plan to use them professionally.

I got the 3/8 and then noticed the lowest setting is 20ft lbs .. so it won't work for spark plugs .. what torque wrench would you use for spark plugs and oil housing gasket bolts

I have a snap on split beam that has been fixed twice now I zero it out every time since that’s what I used to, so I thought all torque wrenches were like that. Is that why I broke it twice? Snap seems to believe I rough with it and drop it.
