This is the sort of prism arrangement used in older 3-CCD video cameras, so that each colour is split onto its own monochrome CCD.

If any of you are wondering where you might be able to get one of these cubes, then take one broken beyond repair DVD or Blu ray recorder inside it, there is a small metallic base that handles all the laser light, inside that thing is where you can find one or two of these things, granted, they are significantly smaller but they do work !

They also make great gifts! You can get defective ones normally used in projectors for cheap

I pulled one of these out of an old big screen tv and I keep it w my lens collection. These things are awesome and you can find them for free at your local dump
