I recently did the Upgrade of my 2017 LG E7 65” OLED to the 77” C4 would have gone G4 but wanted the stand/not wall mounting. Gave the 65” to my parents. Definitely like the bigger screen. My Sonos Arc Ultra arrived two days ago, and during this time, I’ve been testing its sound quality. I must say the difference is remarkable. Although I’ve read that the improvement is not so noticeable when paired with a subwoofer, I can confidently say that, for me, the upgrade is already significant. The sound is much clearer, and the separation between audio elements is greatly enhanced. I truly enjoy watching live concerts, and with this soundbar, the instruments sound much sharper, and the audio reaches exactly where it needs to. It doesn’t feel as flat as the previous Arc model. For these reasons, I’m extremely happy with my decision to upgrade.

I picked mine up today and just set it up. I have an original Arc with two era 100’s with a sub. I can tell you the sound out of the new Arc Ultra is clearer fuller and the speech dialogue is much much clearer than the original Arc. That was the one draw back from the original Arc it sounds great but the speech dialogue seemed to get lost while watching movies. Not the Arc Ultra very clear, definitely worth the upgrade!!!

I was wondering though ... have you tried the new Ultra with the Sonos Ace, and does the sound switching from the Arc Ultra to the headphones work without any delay or problems, when watching a movie or playing PS5, for example 🤔

I did wonder if the Arc Ultra would live up to the pre-release hype especially given the absence of reviews.
Although the width, and height of the soundstage are restricted, for vocal clarity, and richness of sound, the best soundbar I have heard is the Bluesound Pulse Soundbar+.

Ik zie hem op Dinsey Plus staan, maar daar is die bij mij 5.1. Ben benieuwd hoe mijn huidige opstelling klinkt bij die film. 1x Sonos Arc | 2x Sub gen2&3 | 2x ERA300

All people do is complain about upgrades if a product doesn’t magically become 10 times better. In my opinion…Sonos has made a good product even better and improved the user experience. Adding Bluetooth, having clearer dialogue, and improved bass make this instantly better than the old Arc. I have the old Arc surround sound system in my living room and my bedroom. I have the Beam 2 surround sound system in my guest room and overall I’m happy with what I have but I think I’ll upgrade the living room to the new Arc…thanks for the sound test

Just to let you know, there’s been a firmware update it’s 60.4.4!👌 I like to watch predator with Arnold Schwarzenegger and also top gun on 4K. Those two sound awesome even though predator is on 5.2 DTS not Dolby Atmos but top gun is the first movie. It is totally awesome.! I still love my Sonos art.!!👍

If the dialogue is much more crisp that would be a reason for me to upgrade. I really think the era 300’s were such a big deal for surrounds that I don’t know if another soundbar could have that kind of impact. For me I want crisper dialogue

Question for you guys, hope someone can help.
I have 2 era 300’s (previously used as stereo pair), and now the arc ultra. I played Dolby atmos music through Apple Music on the Sonos app on the Era pair and it worked properly and sounded great. Same atmos supported songs do not play atmos format through the app to the arc ultra alone, or with the era 300 as it’s surrounds.
Anyone know what’s going on here? Arc ultra is atmos compatible. I can only get atmos content to play on it through my tv via atmos movies, nothing through atmos music via Apple Music on Sonos app. All proper Spatial Audio settings are enabled.

I received my Sonos ARC Ultra yesterday and will say as follows.
Set- up - Arc Ultra / ERA 100’s / Sub Gen 3 living room is open concept.
Arc Ultra out the box without EQ adjustments you can hear the difference now this wasn’t done Arc Ultra solo it was combine with my setup.
Once I adjusted the EQ wow huge difference all around testing movies from my Apple device / Netflix using Firestick Dolby Atmos and Movie from Prime Video huge difference and actually with sound being at 15 high.
Cons:
True Play I really don’t care for as my living room is open concept and True play won’t make a difference also my ceiling is 12ft high.
Sonos by releasing the Arc Ultra I believe is making up for the update they released back in May / June 2022 that messed up the configuration of the ARC. That’s my personal opinion.
Closing thoughts:
I give the Arc Ultra 8/10 reason it’s just day one and need to see other settings.
