900 thousands include fleet and a lot of non military personel, and there are also troops they can't transfer to Ukraine like in Syria, Ossetia and Karabakh and near the borders with baltic countries. But on the other hand there're a lot of people fighting who were mobilized in Donbas, and different non-official groups like Rusich and Wagner

I think they are reading too much into the recent European leader resignations. Italy has a reputation for political shakeups although there are a lot of pro-Russian legislators. As for the UK Boris Johnson has always been a scandal magnet and it's gotten to a point that even his own party isn't supporting him. However the UK parliament has been supporting Ukraine across the board from day 1 and likely to continue under the new PM.

I’m fairly confident that the UK government will continue its support for ~Ukraine, at this time, there are many Ukrainian troops here, undergoing training, but I will say, the general mood here is one of anger at the ever increasing cost of living, our energy cost has risen by an unthinkable amount, wages are not keeping up and inflation is rising fast, the brexit fiasco goes on and on

The High Mobility aspect of HIMARS isn't to do with its ground speed - which isn't a huge lot faster than for M270 (85 v 64 km/h).

It is to do with air transport mobility - which is why it only has one rocket pod cf the M270 which has two.

HIMARS weighs 16, 250 kg (cf M270 at 25, 000 kg) so can be carried by C-130 Hercules aircraft (payload c19, 000 kg) of which the US has lots of. This means the C5 and C17 strategic lift capacity is left free to shift other things and the C130s can take HIMARS closer to the front lines.

As for the "900.000 strong army", consider the Tooth to Tail ratio. For every fighting soldier in the field, there are ten men behind the front working for him to keep him fighting- Maintaining his tank, working logistics, communication officers, procurement officers... going with the typical 1-10 ratio, since all of those men ARE part of the military but not a fighting force, you end up with 90.000 men.
So, if they HAVE 200.000 fighting men, they either cut their tail in half, or they brought massive amounts of mercenaries, recruits and drafted personel into the field.

It’s so odd watching history videos on current events. Like we watch ww2 videos or civil war videos or anything from back then and bang and a major war that can change the world. The war in iraq and Afghanistan didn’t change the world. The war in ukraine however revived a possible Cold War

An interesting aspect to consider in the current war is that the equipment losses, especially on Russian side, have reached quite extreme levels. So while Russia certainly had far more equipment at start, it's not as clear to me if they still hold nearly as much equipment advantage any more. Having to reintroduce things like T-62 tanks gives the impression they don't have enough easy to repair or bring in to service options that are more modern.

As such it's also conceivable the war will come to an end due to equipment shortages as well I suspect.

On the current fronts, very recently Ukraine got up to the interesting tactic of starting to shoot one by one bridges over the Dnieper and Inhulets rivers. Which is probably leading to increasingly large issues with supplying Kherson and its immediate surroundings. It's conceivable that Russia might be forced out in the not all to long term via this method and an offensive.

No one weapons system can turn the tide of a war it has to be utilized with other weapons systems and tactics and those tactics and other systems must be used effectively

RLL put out an excellent video on their channel looking at this conflict through the lense of resource control. The Crimean Coast has lots of natural gas around it which pro western Ukraine could sell and use to compete with Russia and Gazprom which would be a nightmare for Moscow

The Australian defence budget is 8 times that of Sweden and the population is only 2.5 times larger. So as an Australian tax payer I disagree on the statement that Sweden is natos best friend. And that doesn't include new Zealand who like Australia are agreement bound to help natos largest individual member, the USA.
